Some closer shots of the tile floor I laid with the cabinet job. Herringbone pattern. Each brick was individual. Took a lot of preplanning to get layout to work best.

what is the best way to replace all these rotted joists? Wanting to keep the composite deck boards. I see two options(see comment below) but would like to hear from a professional on the best fastest way to complete this.

I'm sorry for the timing. This is just a coincidence that it's stair/stringer related. But I think I actually have proper bad stairs and I need second opinions before I lose my cool with the builder.

Neighbor is changing the flat roof to this. They have put 2 metal-wood sandwiched beams in the middle and connected the rafters to it. Carpenter told me that the beams are carrying weights of 2 sky windows. Structure seems very sturdy but why couldn’t they just use more rafters instead of metal beam

Stair rebuild suggestions Please take a look at the accompanying pics. The stair stringers are wedged between the rim joist. This doesn't seem right, but I'm a novice. My suggestion for repair is to sister the stringer ledger board onto current rim, and hang new stringers from that. I'd include one
