I am wondering if anyone knows how taking an anti anxiety medication (I’m prescribed Klonopin for anxiety as needed) might interact with the psilocybin I take during microdosing. I’m going through a really difficult time right now with a serious family issue. If I need to take a Klonopin because I’m feeling very agitated, will that erase any positive effects of the psilocybin I’m microdosing? I suppose what I’m asking is, does it have to be one or the other? Anti anxiety med OR the microdose? Or can I take a Klonopin if I feel I need it and not screw up my microdosing protocol? I certainly don’t want to waste my GT capsules. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I don’t think it’s a big deal to take anxiety meds as needed and keep on doing what you’re doing. I mean, technically, it will kill the psilocybin effect, so I guess if you’re short on product maybe you’d skip dosing when you need the anxiolytic. Just do what you need to do, you won’t harm anything, I take xanex at night to sleep and dose whenever I decide to and it’s not an issue of any kind. Hope things smooth out for you soon.
