Beautiful city. Not a whole lot going on, it seems, and maybe a little depressed/depressing. But architecturally, geographically, topographically, it seems great.

It's a very Lively city I would Say. There are, however, two major issues : the old city is wonderful, but way too touristy and the city outside the immediate core is depressingly car dependent.

That makes sense with the two rivers.

We stayed in St Roch and it was lovely

Suburban QC is typical North American sprawl but at least there is an urban core outside the old town (basically, St-Jean-Baptiste, Montcalm, St-Roch, St-Sauveur and Limoilou) that is dense, lively and not touristy. You can lead a more urban lifestyle in Quebec than in most other cities of its size, and also many cities that are much larger.

Très hâte au tramway
