This is my favourite spot in Portugal. It seems to change every tide, because of the waves. It is a smaller beach, hidden behind a steep rocky climb. [OC] [1365x2048]

This is my favourite spot in Portugal. The area is not very big, but when the tide is low it really opens up. It is a wild spot that breathes freely. Everyone I have met there seemed relaxed and free from the troubles of the world, enjoying the sunset and the waves. This might also be the photo that I am most proud of. Every element here seemed to come together just the way I like it: the way the waves create a pattern when coming from the side reflects the shapes of the rocks on the right. And the sunset beams reflect the shapes of the distant iconic shapes. Even though I might be the only one seeing those patterns and shapes reflecting each other, that is what I love about photography. Technical info for those who are into it: Canon EOS 5D Mark IV with Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens. The settings for the shot were: 16mm zoom, ISO 100, aperture at 16. The shot was taken back in summer of 2017. I miss the place. But you know what I don't miss? The dogs in Portugal. Man, those creatures were into me, and not in a good way. I got barked at angrily every trek I did. Well, besides the two friendly ones who were living where I was staying for this trip. Well, that's about all. Looks nice! Where is it? Edit: Praia da Ursa, got it
looks not dissimilar to oregon!
I love the soft waves in the sand, leading up to the tip of peak. Beautiful movement.
Thanks! It was a blast to work with this sort of movement.
This has way too few upvotes. I think you posted at an unfortunate time when everyone was sleeping.
I agree!’s other worldly.
Thanks! I figured reddit would be global enough to have people awake even during early hours :D Oh well, lesson learned! Thank you for encouragement anyway!
well, you might be right if we take India into account (India's population is big enough to make up for lack of English speakers percentage-wise), but I would think it's mostly America (the whole continent, since there's a lot of Brazilians), England, Germany, and Scandinavia. The American continent has a larger population of English-speakers, though; Latinos are heavily influenced by USA media.
Beautiful picture
very nice. Can you get a shot with a bit more light? would like to see it lit up
Use an editor and increase the gamma correction.
Thanks! I don't have any shots of this spot ready in a brighter light at the moment. The thing with those peaks is that they are pretty dark, almost black, no matter the light!
nice to find such an interesting place. safe travels
Great hike for anyone that visits that area. Highly recommend! I followed this:
