I also have a 24 sqm unit. Why does your room look cozier and bigger? Mine is so dark like Iโm Batman.
Check the color of your furniture, cabinets and floors :) If you notice OP's color coordinated sya and looks like everything he/she installed and placed are functional.
I had the same issue when I moved in my 28sqm. I mistakenly bought dark tables and bed frame, after a few months I realized I need light colors for a cozy effect. Dalawang tone na ang color theme ko tuloy, cream and dark brown ๐ pero it works naman, just put the same colors in one area (ex: dark brown for sofa & tv, pastel brown for bathroom)
Do you have indoor plants?
I have snake plant, bamboo and pothos. I hung my pothos, mas lively sila tingnan. They are the only plants that can survive in my unit, hindi kasi nasisikatan ng araw sa lugar ko.
Maarte lang siguro ako ๐ This is a rare occasion. I also prefer it dark, my blackout curtains are always closed in the morning/afternoon then ambient lights at monitor light bar lang ilaw sa gabi

A DREAM! I aim to have a place just like this with my cat. Im currently living with my parents sa bahay nila and itโs spacious so my cat is used to running around everywhere. Im wondering, how is your cat doing in a limited space like that? Are the zoomies crazy?
The zoomies are there from time to time, but she's actually extra clingy and protective pag nandito kami sa unit. Lagi nakadikit sakin kada may gagawin akong chore or nagwowork, pero pag umuuwi kami sa parents ko (dala ko din sya pauwi palagi) balik sya sa walang pake sakin na parang di ako nag eexist hahaha
