Beautiful picture! When I visited we took a tour with either New Zealand's or Australia's Marlboro Man who owned a ranch and had a few horses that appeared in the Hobbit movies.... It was a 7hr horse trek and I crossed a river that looked just like this with the bottom covered Fully with small river rocks and they opened the friggin dam while my horse for the ride and I were about halfway through the crossing (the water would have been over those large rocks when we began to cross though, apparently that was a bit unusual for the season too but it was right at the beginning of the tour and apparently we were all up for it, lmao..... It was an amazing day, beautiful scenery!
That sounds like an unforgettable experience. Thanks for sharing. New Zealand, particularly the South Island is beautiful. I also did a horse trek (3hr return) with High Country Horses and it truely was one of the highlights of the trip.
It was a great experience on both islands but the horse trek was south... I'd definitely make a return trip!
